For the third year in a row, silverorange is organizing a frisbee golf tournament in support of Habitat for Humanity.
The tournament is scheduled for Sunday, September 11, 2005, at Strathgartney Provincial Park. Everyone is welcome (though there is a maximum number of participants) and you don't need any experience with frisbee golf. To compete all you have to be able to do is throw a frisbee!
Details
- Date: Sunday, September 11, 2005, 2pm (rain date: TBA)
- Location: Strathgartney Provincial Park (see directions)
- Registration: $20.00 Donation per Person (all money goes to Habitat for Humanity)
- Each participant will receive a good quality flying disc for the competition and to take home.
- Everyone is invited. If you can throw a frisbee, come out and play!
- There is a maximum of 70 entrants, so reserve your spot by registering yourself or a team today!
Tournament Rules
- All participants must pay their entrance donation to participate. If you still haven't sent in your donation by one week before the tournament (Sept 4) you may lose your spot. You can mail or drop off your donation to silverorange (see our address).
- Registration is first come first serve. There will be a maximum of 70 participants.
- Please be there on time (2pm) or risk losing your tee-off.
- All participants must be at least 14 years of age. I know there are some kids out there under the age of 14 who can really toss a disc, but we've decided to set a minimum age limit.
- Scoring will be on the honour system. Anyone caught cheating may be tossed in the West River.
- Participants must follow the rules of disc golf as described for the tournament (see the rules of disc golf).
- Please don't bring any of your pets.
- All participants must use the flying discs supplied for the tournament. Some of you pros may have a whole set of discs of different weights, but for the purposes of this tournament everyone will use the same discs so the playing field is even.
- Any disputes will be ultimately decided by the tournament organizers. All decisions will be final.
Important Notices
- The tournament may be postponed for inclement weather. If it's raining or if it's really windy, we may push back to the rain date on Sunday at 2pm. If the tournament is postponed we'll have announcements on the radio and on the tournament website.
- The Red Cross will be on site in case there are any mishaps. Many thanks to them for attending.
