Another Year of HTMHell
I was dead pleased with myself for thinking of an HTML tip for last year's HTMHell advent calendar. It's been in my RSS feed for years, always ending the year on a great note with a mix of established and new voices opening knowledge doors I never knew existed in the house of front-end development.
When Manuel put out a call for contributions this year, I thought I had nothing to share. Apparently I wasn't the only one thinking that. When he put out a second call, I dug a little deeper and submitted an idea I thought was so basic it had no chance of being selected. The delight of being selected quickly settled into dread when I realized I actually had to write a whole post about one line of HTML.
Thankfully, that line was related to RSS, and this post provided a great opportunity to discuss how web feeds work and why they are such a valuable tool for anybody online who wants more control over the content they consume.
I hope you enjoy The Wonderful World of Web Feeds.
